The first ten hours of my internship have passed. Well, the first 100 hours actually, but 90 of them have been lifeguarding. My internship through Scottish Hills Recreational Center is made up of a few different tasks. First, like I said, is lifeguarding, the non-technology portion. Second was taking and editing pictures for the swim team. I will aslo b creating and maintaining facebook groups and pages for the pool, one to update employees of schedule changes and updates, and another for pool members to "like" in order to receive updates on pool events and see photos.
At the end of each year is a banquet for the swim team, during which a slide show of pictures of the team is presented. Each swim team last about 5 hours, so during the last two swim meets I completed my first ten hours (this post is actually late, since I was on a family vacation). The picture taking was fun, and editing them went well, using a photo editing software that I have only had minimal experience with, called Photoscape. So far the internship is fun and I expect that the next parts will also be enjoyable.
